We perform vision screenings on school-going children in the townships and rural areas. We then proceed to perform comprehensive eye exams and further donate spectacles to those who are found to have visual impairments. It has been proven that 80% of learning at school level is visual, and a lot of children perform below average not because of their intellectual capabilities, but because of visual challenges. One in every four children has some or other visual impairment, and we want to be a catalyst in ensuring that we support the children of South Africa by giving them clear vision so that they can thrive at school and grow up to positively contribute to society and the country at large.
